Office of Administrative Rules
Welcome to the
ONLINE
Oklahoma Administrative Code
and
Register
The Oklahoma Administrative Procedures Act [75 O.S., Sections 250 et seq.] requires the Secretary of State's Office of Administrative Rules to publish the
Oklahoma Administrative Code
and the
Oklahoma Register
.
Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC)
The
OAC
is a compilation of all:
permanent and preemptive rules that have been filed with the Secretary of State as of a given date.
executive orders that have been filed with the Secretary of State as of a given date.
The online
OAC
is unofficial and contains rules and executive orders as they appear in the database that is used to produce the official
OAC
. The database and the online
OAC
are updated as soon as possible after rules and executive orders become effective.
The official
OAC
is published annually in paper and on CDRom, and is available from the Office of Administrative Rules. The 2006 Edition is the most recent full edition of the
OAC
. Between publication of full editions, cumulative supplements to the
OAC
are published annually.
Oklahoma Register
The
Register
contains:
permanent rules that have been "finally adopted" and will become effective at least 10 days after publication in the
Register
.
emergency and preemptive rules that have recently been approved by the Governor and are effective immediately upon the Governor's approval or a later date specified by the agency.
various rulemaking notices, such as:
notices of rulemaking intent.
notices of gubernatorial approval/disapproval.
notices of withdrawn rules.
executive orders that have been recently issued by the Governor.
The
Register
is published two times a month --- on the 1st and 15th, or the first working day following the 1st and 15th.
The online
Register
is unofficial and is updated after each official issue is published.
The official
Register
is available in paper and on CDRom from the Office of Administrative Rules.
